Thomas Louis

Thomas Louis, second son of Sir Thomas Louis. He went as merchant to Barbados in 1813. He was a member of the Legislative Council of Barbados, and Colonel of the Militia, a well known man and highly respected in the Colony. He also appears to have been appointed as Receiver by the Court of Chancery in a cause Belgrave against Roach and 167 enslaved persons were given into his possession: see the return of John B. Mann, Attorney, the property of John C. Roach in the 1826 Barbados Slave Register.
