I understand that I have been born in a tumultuous year - of great cricket successes, rugby disappointments and political upheavals: unfortunate decisions have been taken that will alter the course of history in the country in which I find myself.  I look forward to hearing from my parents, and grand-parents, how all this happened - and what I must do with my life to rectify the mistakes that have been made!
