Sailmaker employed in repairing main Topsail. At 5pm made sail & /, saw the boats rounding the S.E point of the island. Stood to the Eastward, unleashed? foretopsail to repair at 6.40 the yawl returned towing the barge they having fell in with a pirate boarded him and took him in the attempt of which was killed Lieutenant James Peed? ??, Thomas Lang & John Stewart seamen, Killed Henry Frns. Woollcombe mate. Wounded John Wiliams & 9 others wounded - hoisted in the barge and yawl - Thursday 16 April 1812 at 12.40 died of his wounds Mr. Henry Francis Woollcombe (Master Mate) at 10.20 committed the bodies of Lieut. James Peed, Henry Frns. Woollcombe (Mate) & others to the deep with the usual ceremony & fired three volleys of musketry.
