Walter Stone

Went to Winchester School, then to Sandhurst.

Joined the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment in which he served during the Great War.

1915 Second Lieutenant.

1916 Lieutenant.

1919 Captain

His mother was Constance Wainwright.

He and his wife (Daphne) divorced and he moved to Canada in the ?1920s? No one knows what happened to him. Like his father he was regarded as the black sheep of the family.

He had a brother Robert Claude who was killed in 1917. He went to Rugby School.

My mother's great uncle Robert (who went to Harrow School) brought him up as a father (my mother's grandfather} had been sent to Canada for some misdeed or other. He (Great uncle Robert) never married. He lived at Newton in the Willows.

Great Aunt Mary Stone lived at Whitton Hall, Westbury, Shropshire

Charles Seagrave married Jessica Stone. (His son by his first marriage was Sir Henry Segrave)

Living on Saltsprings Island off Vancouver in June 1963 (sent letter with the address RR# 1Ganges PO, British Columbia, Canada
