Louis Woollcombe

Educated at Clifton College. Entered the Royal Navy 1895. 1905 Commander, 1912 Captain, Rear Admiral 1922, Vice Admiral 1927, Admiral (retired) 1932. Commander of HMS Medina in which ship he accompanied the Prince and Princess of Wales to India in 1911. Awarded the Member of the Victorian Order for his services. Commanded HMS Boadicea at the Battle of Jutland. Appointed ADC to the King in 1921.
