WILLIAM WOLCOMBE, of Holland and in the parish of Plympton St. Mary, was, according to the notes to Princes '"Worthies of Devon", resident there in the reign of Henry VII.
In the pedigree entered by his grandson John Woollcombe (page171) of Pitton at the Visitation of Devon in 1620, his wife was stated to be "filia Dunne", but in the notes to Princes 'Worthies of Devon he is stated to have married Radegund, the daughter and heiress of Bawden of Leeham. This agrees with what is stated in a pedigree on the back of his will supposed to have been written by his descendent William Woollcombe of Challonsleigh who lived from 1651 to 1728 (Pages86-87).
His will was dated 12th December 1569 and proved 20th January 1570 according to his will he had issue:-
